Do you charge a call-out fee?
Our call-out and labour fee is £120, which covers us coming out to you and the work to get you back in. If we attend and entry isn't gained, you won't be charged at all. Any extra parts needed (e.g. a new lock or cylinder) are quoted separately before we fit them.
Will you replace my lock if it can be repaired instead?
No — where possible, we'll always repair rather than replace, at no extra cost. We'll only recommend a full replacement when a repair genuinely won't do the job, and we'll explain why before any work starts.
Will you damage my door or lock to get me in?
We always try non-destructive entry methods first wherever possible, to avoid unnecessary damage to your property. In some cases (e.g. certain lock failures) more invasive entry may be the only safe option — we'll always explain your options before starting.
Will the new locks meet my home insurance requirements?
Where required, we fit insurance-assured locks so your home continues to meet your policy's requirements. Just let us know if you need this and we'll make sure the right locks are used.
Are you insured?
Yes — we're fully insured, so your property is in safe hands whenever we're working on it.
Will I be dealing with a call centre?
No — we're a family-run business with no call centre and no subcontractors. When you call, you speak directly to Benjamin, the owner, and he'll be the one who comes out to help you.
Do you work evenings, weekends and holidays?
Yes — our emergency line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
